This I will take from my week:
1. Even when it is a very busy week it is worth going to a theater on Tuesday evening.
2. Reading a PD book that confirms what you believe in gives a much needed boost of energy for the last three weeks of school.
3. Trust the process. As a final task for our unit of inquiry about dance my students created a class dance. They came up with the story line and characters, chose music, choreographed the steps. Last week it seemed as if it was going to be a disaster. Beginning of this week it still seemed to be extremely chaotic. This Friday the performed fabulously in front of the whole school during the Fine Arts Show.
4. Not thinking about reasons, faults and not-enoughs and simply accepting a compliment feels very good.
5. A bright blue sky, sunshine spreading in each direction, light green leaves and an abundance of colorful blossoms, walking in the fresh air - blissful.
6. Everyone's schedule is busy, calendars dotted with events and meetings - in this case you just make time, make choices, make decisions - having a Friday evening dinner with mom, sis, and two adult daughters is one of the best decisions, the best choice and the best way to spend time.

Through the hectic business of life, there is much to celebrate.

ReplyDeleteTrust. That's the word that sticks with me!! It's vital. It's hard. It's amazing when you can do it! Thank you for the reminder!
ReplyDeleteTwo things that resonate with me, Terje:
ReplyDelete-Choices-yes. We need to do that!
-Bliss: A bright blue sky, sunshine spreading in each direction, light green leaves and an abundance of colorful blossoms, walking in the fresh air.
I admire the way you always seem to embrace life and all the world has to offer! You are wise to trust the process, make choices about how to spend your time, and appreciate nature.
