About me

Welcome to my writing playground.

I started this blog as an experiment just for a month to learn about the writing process and craft. I got hooked to blogging and have continued posting twice a week. Writing regularly has helped me to become a better teacher to young writers.

My blog is a place where I collect slices of life; process thoughts, feelings and experiences; celebrate and appreciate people, events, successes and struggles; reflect on learning and personal growth. It’s not just about teaching but also about the little things in life that contribute to a balanced and happy life.

The best part of blogging has been meeting all the awesome people in the writing community. I believe that through sharing our stories we become kinder to ourselves and others, get over the cloudy times, and become richer with inspiration.

I hope that you will find here encouraging words, thoughts to ponder, and spark to keep learning.

  4. This list sounds just about perfect to me! My district is adopting several new curricula and so far, I have spent 80% of my days off in PD. I'm longing for time to sleep and read.

  6. Hi Terje, I was thinking of you this summer as I was close by, visiting Finland! My husband and I had a lovely time.Such a lovely trip that we may return someday. If so, I'll be sure to include taking the ferry to visit your country and maybe trying to meet up. I blogged about my trip here and thought you might like seeing what we did. Hope you are having a good summer. https://readandwritebysally.wordpress.com/2026/08/03/finland-aalto/
